How to play
Found your kingdom
Name your kingdom, pick its color, then click anywhere on land to found it. For the first 30 seconds nobody can attack you, so grab as much empty land as you can.
Expand and attack
Click land to send your army there: empty land is quick to take, rival kingdoms fight back. The Send slider sets how much of your army goes into each attack. Your army regrows over time, faster with more land and more villages.
Build
Spend gold on buildings, placed on your own land:
- Village grows your army faster. Villages connect with roads that earn gold through trade.
- Mine earns gold, about four times as much when it's on a gold vein.
- Port opens sea trade with your other ports and your allies, and launches faster invasions by boat.
- Castle makes nearby land much harder to take. With a village inside its walls it becomes a stronghold, and with five villages around it, a walled town: stone walls around the whole town, more troops and more gold.
- Trebuchet is a siege weapon. Place it before you attack: while you fight anyone within its range, it fires on its own, breaking castle walls and shaking the land at the front so it's easier to take. Rivals see it coming, though.
Defend
Land you've held for a while digs in and gets harder to take. Fortify a stretch of your land to make it twice as hard to take for a while. Captured buildings work at half strength until the land settles.
Alliances
Right-click a kingdom (or press and hold on a touch screen) to see it and propose an alliance. Allies don't attack each other and trade by sea, but alliances end when one side gets too strong, and some rivals betray their friends.
